Research groups in the Institute for
Cellular and Molecular Immunology
The department of cellular and molecular immunology at the University of Göttingen (medical faculty) currently integrates four independent research groups to investigate the mechanisms and pathophysiology of immunological processes and diseases. Major topics of research involve B cell signaling and regulation of humoral immunity (AG Wienands, AG Engels), molecular pathogenesis of inflammatory, endocrine and malignant diseases (AG Reichardt), regulation and function of chemokine receptors (AG Oppermann) as well as the functional analysis of the MHC and cellular cytotoxicity (AG Dressel). More detailed information can be found in the section of the respective research group (see above).
